"Random pointless thoughts"
Notre Dame is 6 point favorites to the mighty basketball Duke Blue Devils, at home. I think this is the most respect Duke has gotten as a football program since Steve Spurrier left the building.
It took me awhile to choose the spread on the Kansas/Iowa State game simply because I have this odd feeling that Kansas is going to suck tomorrow.
What has become of the Miami football program? I just took up following the spread 2 years ago, but I can never remember seeing “Da U” as 16.5 point underdogs to anyone, especially a team with such a piss poor offense like Virginia Tech. My guess is Vegas thought Miami would only complete about 8 passes, if that, against this feisty, sexy nasty defense of the Hokies. Imagine if Miami was playing Oklahoma tomorrow, they might be 25 point underdogs. Congrats Mr. Randy Shannon, for you have saved the U from embarrassment. Oh, wait?!?
Boston College @ Clemson looks to be the most fun game to watch, even though I don’t see this being a very high scoring game. Something slightly higher than the FSU/Boston College game. Clemson has tremendous home support so I don’t see pretty boy Matt Ryan flinging it around very freely.
I was close to picking Cincy on the upset of WVU. I’m only letting you know this because if it happens, I can scream and shout “I ALMOST TOLD YOU SO”.
If Florida is up by 3 touchdowns or more by halftime and the Urbanator doesn’t pull Tebow, I will have the urge to fly down to Gainesvegas just so I can kick him in the balls. Put Newton in, please? For the love of all things holy, develop a damn backup QB Meyer, it’s FAU, it can’t be that difficult.
I honestly don’t care for the OSU/Michigan game any longer, primarily because Ohio State needs a lot of help over the next 3 football weeks to get back the BCS Championship game. Sadly, Oregon helped them out. I’ll still be rooting for Meeechigan, not just because I completely don’t care for Ohio State (I won’t forget the shit I put up with when it came to their fan base before the BCS Championship game last year) but for Ohio State to lose 2 in a row and to hand Michigan the Big 10 trophy after losing to Michigan, at Michigan, the same place App. State beat Michigan, would be priceless.
Kentucky, do me a favor, stop playing like Kentucky of 2002 and start playing like the Kentucky that beat LSU. MMMMMKay?
Tennessee won’t play their best game of the year, they will give Florida fans a heart attack as we get our hopes up that Vandy is going to pull of the upset, but it won’t happen. Oh well, there is always next year Gator fans!
