Pennington Taking Snaps

13
Vote

The oft-injured New York Jets QB Chad Pennington took some snaps yesterday at a non-contact team practice. The Jets did not report on the number of throws Pennington took, but onlookers were reportedly impressed. The media will be allowed to view Pennington during the minicamp being held June 15-17.

It's about time, Carson Palmer was taking snaps in the same situation over a week ago, and he was injured 3 months after Pennington. The J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS are screwed with Chad.

Huh? Didn't Carson Palmer hurt his leg? How does one compare the ability to thro recovering from a lower body injury and Pennington's 2nd shoulder surgery? In all honesty, that might be one of the most uninformed post ever on ArchairGM. Whats worse is that it got 2 plus votes. Amazing.

I don't think people will be crying about Matt Leinart. And again an uninformed fan. The Jets drafted Kellen Clemens in the 2nd rd. It is highly doubtful Bollinger will make it out of preseason on the team.

Ok, I wasn't comparing injury to injury, in fact I wasn't even comparing QB to QB (outside of the fact that one has heart and one doesn't). More or less I was pointing out that the JETS should've cut their losses when they had a chance because he'll never pull through for them. I should've made that more obvious, my bad. But JETS fan should try to sound less insulted by the Chad Pennington rip and understand that his is not now nor will he be the QB you all hope he will. Oh and last time I checked throwing the ball requires your lower body as well as your upper body, and since Carson's knee was replaced with a cadaver it would seem that he should be out for a considerable time yet.

Now that he's taking snaps, it will only be a matter of time before he's throwing picks.

Who's uninformed. Kellen Clemens is no Matt Leinart. At his best, he'll resemble Pennington. At his best. He will need at least 1+ yrs to season and to go in w/ Ramsey and him as the only bkups is not very wise. Lest you forget the Jets bkup options last yr after Fiedler went down.

Listen Mr. Anonymous. One is not uninformed because they disagree with your assessment of Clemens and Leinart. However, one in uninformed in not knowing who the Jets backup QBs will be this year.
