Pedro Ready to Throw on Injured Toe

New York Mets ace Pedro Martinez will make his spring debut on Sunday. Martinez played long toss Wednesday, then finished the day with a short stint in the bullpen. "I felt better today," he said. "Much more comfortable. I'm ready to get on the mound and finally get things going." The way things are lined up, Martinez could pitch Sunday and Friday before making his regular-season debut on April 5. Pedro has been sidelined for most of the spring with an injured toe.

I hope so, I have him on my fantasy team, and even though I have two pitchers that are rated higher (Pedro is rated #3), it would be nice to have some trade bait.

The fact that the toe bothered him at the end of last year, and he shows up for camp after an extended rest with the exact same problem, is not a good sign for the Mets.
