[edit] Biography

Born on April 28, 1935 in Pinar del Rio, Cuba, Pedro Ramos (Pedro (Guerra) Ramos) played for the Washington Senators, Minnesota Twins, Cleveland Indians, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 15 year career. Ramos broke into the bigs on April 11, 1955 with the Washington Senators, and put up a 3.88 ERA in 130 innings pitched in 1955, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Pedro Ramos's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1965, when he posted a 2.92 ERA, notched 19 saves and struck out 68 batters. However, others believe that it was 1963, when he posted a 3.12 ERA and struck out 169 batters.
