Peavy Will Likely Miss Next Start

The San Diego Padres will likely skip Jake Peavy's next start. Peavy is suffering some shoulder soreness. "It's been going on a while, four or five starts," Peavy said of the soreness in his shoulder. "They're saying this is the last time in a while they can push me back without altering the rotation. We might take that route with the off-day, which would make my next start Tuesday in Milwaukee." If the Pads rest Peavy, Mike Thompson and Chris Young will be move up one day.
