Pearson, Willard, Grant on Racers' list

Alabama assistant Phillip Pearson reportedly is one of the top candidates for the men's basketball head coaching position at Murray State, vacated when Mick Cronin accepted the head coaching position at Cincinnati after taking the Racers to the NCAA tournament earlier this month.
Pearson is scheduled to interview with Murray State officials at the NCAA Final Four this weekend, accoring to the Murray Ledger & Times. Louisville assistant Kevin Willard and Florida assistant Anthony Grant also have been identified as among the candidates expecting to be interviewed, according to the Ledger & Times.
The Ohio Valley Conference champion Racers were 24-7 this season, falling to North Carolina 68-64 in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
