Paxton Crawford

Born on August 4, 1977 in Little Rock, Arkansas, Paxton Crawford (Paxton Keith Crawford) played for the Boston Red Sox for his entire 2 year career. Crawford broke into the bigs on July 1, 2000 with the Boston Red Sox.
Crawford admitted to using human growth hormone and steroids while playing for the Boston Red Sox in 2001 and 2002. In an article in ESPN The Magazine, Crawford recounted an incident where syringes he had wrapped in a towel had fallen on the floor of the locker room, causing other players to laugh. Crawford declined to be interviewed for the Mitchell investigation stating he did not "do that stuff anymore," that he was sorry he had used those substances in the past, and that he just wanted to be left alone. Other Red Sox players deny the syringe-dropping incident ever happened.
