Paul Sverchek (Paul Anthony Sverchek) was born on May 9, 1961 in San Luis Obispo, California. After going to high school at San Luis Obispo (CA), Sverchek attended California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo. Sverchek made his professional debut in the NFL in 1984 with the Minnesota Vikings. He played for the Minnesota Vikings for his entire 1 year career.
