Paul Salata (Paul Thomas Salata) was born on October 17, 1926 in Los Angeles, California. After going to high school at Benjamin Franklin (Los Angeles, CA), Salata attended the University of Southern California. Salata made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1949 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played in the AAFC for 1 year, playing for the San Francisco 49ers the entire time. Salata also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the San Francisco 49ers the entire time.
Most people believe that 1949 was Paul Salata's best year, as he caught 4 TD passes.
