Paul Franklin (Paul R. Franklin) was born on January 2, 1906 in Plainfield, Indiana. After going to high school at Plainfield (IN), Franklin attended Franklin College. Franklin made his professional debut in the NFL in 1931 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears for his entire 3 year career.

Most people believe that 1931 was Paul Franklin's best year.
