Born on November 16, 1930 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Paul Foytack (Paul Eugene Foytack) played for the Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Angels over the course of his 11 year career. Foytack broke into the bigs on April 21, 1953 with the Detroit Tigers, and put up a 3.59 ERA in 256 innings pitched in 1956, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Paul Foytack's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1956, when he posted a 3.59 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 184 batters. However, others believe that it was 1958, when he posted a 3.44 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 135 batters.
