Paul Costa (S. Paul Costa) was born on December 7, 1941 in Port Chester, New York. After going to high school at Port Chester (NY), Costa attended the University of Notre Dame. Costa made his professional debut in the AFL in 1965 with the Buffalo Bills. He played in the AFL for 5 years, playing for the Buffalo Bills the entire time. Costa also played in the NFL for 3 years, playing for the Buffalo Bills the entire time.

Most people believe that 1967 was Paul Costa's best year, as he hauled in 39 receptions and had 726 receiving yards.
