Born on October 6, 1917 in Montreal, Quebec (Canada), Paul Calvert (Paul Leo Emile Calvert) played for the Cleveland Indians, Washington Senators and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 7 year career. Calvert broke into the bigs on September 24, 1942 with the Cleveland Indians, and put up a 4.56 ERA in 77 innings pitched in 1944, his rookie year.
