Paul Briggs (Paul Leonard Briggs) was born on April 18, 1920 in Providence, Rhode Island. After going to high school at Grand Junction (CO), Briggs attended the University of Colorado. Briggs made his professional debut in the NFL in 1948 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 1 year career.
