I'll take the Sox, Phils don't have as much talent as the Mets or Red Sox.

chase utley, ryan howard, cole hamels, brett myers (kind of)...that's not a bad young foundation.

Psshhh...cole hamels has proven nothing... There's no way he/we make that argument, at least...AT LEAST...until next year and even then i think they'll be kinda bad...

I could also argue this one very easily...being a PA native on top of my currently living in boston status...i guarantee the sox are built for the next 5 years...

I define a young players as those players 26 and younger. By doing so, Utley is eliminated for he is 27. Howard is a young good player, would argue that Wright may be the only one, on either the Sox, Mets, or Phils, who is better than Howard. Myers is 25, he is the physical talents to be an ace, but mentally - does he have it. I would take Beckett over Myers any day. Finally, Hamels. He may have the best stuff of any starter on the Sox, Mets, or Phils, but I fear his health. He may end up being more like Kerry Wood than Willis. The Mets also have a young stallion on the mound currently, Mike Pelfrey. But, according to the reports that I have read, he is only here for a start.

At least Lester has seen success, more than can be said for Cole. You still have Beckett (only 25), Papelbon, Hansen, Youkilis... Sox have the bet young talent in the league.

who is hansen? I've never heard of him.

He played well last year in September when the Sox called him up, but hasn't been great this year. He's a reliever and he's only like 20 or 21. He's the Sox future closer.

Ok, of the three teams, Red Sox, Mets, Phils - The Mets have the best manager of the bunch.

Barry Switzer has a SB Ring. Doesn't mean he was a good coach, let alone a great one. At times, a team is good enough to win it all, no matter who is coaching the club.
