Born on April 24, 1952 in Richmond, Texas, Pat Zachry (Patrick Paul Zachry) played for the Cincinnati Reds, New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 10 year career. Zachry broke into the bigs on April 11, 1976 with the Cincinnati Reds, and put up a 2.74 ERA in 204 innings pitched in 1976, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Pat Zachry's best season was 1976, when he posted a 2.74 ERA, won 14 games and struck out 143 batters.
