Pat Underwood

Born on February 9, 1957 in Kokomo, Indiana, Pat Underwood (Patrick John Underwood) played for the Detroit Tigers for his entire 4 year career. Underwood broke into the bigs on May 31, 1979 with the Detroit Tigers, and put up a 4.59 ERA in 121.2 innings pitched in 1979, his rookie year.
There is some disagreement on what was Pat Underwood's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1980, when he posted a 3.59 ERA and struck out 60 batters. However, others believe that it was 1979, when he posted a 4.59 ERA and struck out 83 batters.
