Pat Swoopes (Patrick Roaman Swoopes) was born on March 4, 1964 in Florence, Alabama. After going to high school at Bradshaw (Florence, AL), Swoopes attended Mississippi State University. Swoopes made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the New Orleans Saints. He played for the New Orleans Saints and Miami Dolphins over the course of his 3 year career.

Most people believe that 1987 was Pat Swoopes's best year.
