Pat Putnam (Patrick Edward Putnam) was born on December 3, 1953 in Bethel, Vermont. He made his Major League debut on September 2, 1977 for the Texas Rangers. In 1979, his rookie year, he hit .277 with 18 home runs and 64 RBI. Putnam played for the Texas Rangers, Seattle Mariners and Minnesota Twins over the course of his 8 year career.

Most people believe that Pat Putnam's best season was 1983, when he slugged 19 home runs and knocked in 67 runs.
