Pat Matson (Patrick William Matson) was born on July 22, 1944 in Laramie, Wyoming. After going to high school at Lakewood (CO), Matson attended the University of Oregon. Matson made his professional debut in the AFL in 1966 with the Denver Broncos. He played in the AFL for 4 years, playing for the Cincinnati Bengals and Denver Broncos over the course of his 4 year AFL career.Matson also played in the NFL for 6 years, playing for the Cincinnati Bengals and Green Bay Packers over the course of his 6 year NFL career.

Most people believe that 1971 was Pat Matson's best year.
