Selected by Hamilton in the second round (ninth overall) in the 2006 Ottawa Dispersal Draft.

2005

Played in 13 games during the regular season, missing five due to injury…had 97 punts for 4,025 yards and four singles for an average of 41.5 yards punts…averaged 51.2 yards on 11 kickoffs for 563 yards…connected on his first career field goal on three attempts…made seven special teams tackles and had one carry for 18 yards…blasted nine punts for 374 yards in Ottawa’s 41-16 season opening loss at Edmonton…in the Renegades 39-36 overtime victory over Montreal on July 1st, Fleming had eight punts for 311 yards including a long of 49 yards…punted eight time for 336 yards and had four kickoffs for 167 yards in Ottawa’s 29-21 loss to Edmonton on July 21st…also kicked his first career field goal from 12 yards out in the loss…averaged 39.6 yards on nine punts for 356 yards and had one kickoff for 49 yards in Ottawa’s 21-16 victory at Saskatchewan on July 29th…in the Renegades 22-17 loss to Saskatchewan on August 11th, Fleming had season highs in both punt and kickoff yardage…had 10 punts for a season 437 yard and five kickoffs for 296 yards…in Ottawa’s 29-18 loss at Toronto on September 28th, Fleming had seven punts for 329 yards including a season high of 61 yards…had eight punts for 332 yards in Ottawa’s 43-21 victory over Hamilton on October 7th.

Played in all 18 games during his second season in the Nation’s Capital…had 135 punts for 5,359 yards and four singles for an average of 39.7 yards per punt…made five special teams tackles and had one carry for 13 yards…in Ottawa’s 20-10 victory over Toronto on June 24th, Fleming posted a 40.9-yard average on nine punts in wet conditions…launched a 60-yard punt for a single - the lone Renegade point - on a nine-punt night where he averaged 48.9 yards a blast in the Renegades 29-1 loss to Winnipeg on July 16th…in Ottawa’s 28-25 loss at Toronto on July 21st, Fleming had his second 10-punt night in three games, including a 45-yard punt…in Ottawa’s 31-30 victory over Calgary on July 29th Fleming punted nine times for 374 yards…his longest was a 53-yard punt…had eight punts for 322 yards, averaging 40.3 yards a kick...the longest of the night was 50 yards in Ottawa’s 47-27 loss at B.C. on August 6th…in Ottawa’s 23-16 loss to Montreal on September 3rd, Fleming blasted seven punts, for 285 yards...punted six times for a total of 289 yards in Ottawa’s 36-22 loss at Saskatchewan on September 26th…averaged 48.2 yards per punt, including a 64 yard bomb, his longest of the season...in the re-match with the Roughriders on October 9th , a 32-25 loss, Fleming averaged 34 yards on seven punts for 238 yards including a 60 yard blast…had 9 punts for a total of 344 yards, averaging 32.7 yards in Ottawa’s 20-17 loss at Hamilton on October 15th.

2003

During his first season in Ottawa, Fleming played in 13 games, missing the first five due to injury…finished the season with 85 punts for 3,558 yards and one single…his 41.9 punting average placed him second in league behind Noel Prefontaine of Toronto...made three special teams tackles, one defensive tackle and had one carry for 15 yards…nominated as the Renegades' Most Outstanding Rookie by Ottawa chapter of the Football Reporters of Canada Became…suffered an ankle injury on first professional punt, in the Renegades 21-19 pre-season loss to Montreal on May 30th...became the Renegades starting punter after the release of veteran Glenn Harper on July 19...after missing the first five games of the regular season he made his CFL debut in Ottawa’s 34-19 loss at B.C. on July 24th...had an outstanding game in the Renegades 29-24 victory over Saskatchewan on August 7th, booting 12 punts for 510 yards…made the highlight reel in the second quarter by recovering his own punt at midfield and carrying the ball to Saskatchewan 24 (31-yard return), leading to a Lawrence Tynes field goal at end of the second quarter...recorded best average in one game of his CFL career in Ottawa’s 30-10 loss at Montreal on September 14th (47.4)…booted longest punt of season, a 65-yard strike...appeared to have recorded first reception of CFL career September 19th at Edmonton on a fake field goal play in first quarter. Caught a pass from kicker Lawrence Tynes and gained first-down yardage to the Edmonton five-yard line…play negated because Fleming wore jersey No. 48, an ineligible number for a pass receiver (switched to jersey No. 28 for next game).

2002

The expansion Ottawa Renegades selected the hometown native in the second round (11th overall) of the 2002 CFL Canadian College Draft…returned to Bowling Green for his final season of NCAA eligibility.

College: Played four seasons (1999-2002) with the Bowling Green State University Falcons…in 44 career games Fleming averaged 39.9 yards on 218 punts…made five total tackles (4 solo)…was a semi-finalist for the Ray Guy Award as a senior. (2002) Had an outstanding senior season, qualifying as a semi-finalist for the Ray Guy Award given to the top college punter in the US...played in all 12 games during the season…finished the year eighth in the MAC in punting (39.22)...on the year, put 21 of his 51 punts inside the opponents’ 20…made two solo tackles…named MAC West Special Teams Player of the Week after the Kansas game...had seven punts for a 48.3-yard average in that game, including a 61-yarder...landed three of his six punts vs. Western Michigan inside the 20-yard line...four of his five punts against Tennessee Tech landed inside the 20. (2001) Played in all 11 games as a junior…averaged 40.1 yards on 54 punts...had a long kick of 62 yards at Missouri...had eight punts of more than 50 yards...37% (20) of his kicks were placed inside the 20 yard line...had three games in which he averaged more than 40 yards per punt (Missouri, Western Michigan, and Miami)...named Special Teams MVP against Buffalo and Missouri. (2000) Played in 10 games as sophomore…missed the Falcons 42-7 season opening loss at Michigan after waking up on the morning of game day with the flue…helped Bowling Green to the third-best net punting average in the MAC (35.4)...averaged 40 yards per punt...had five games in which he averaged more than 40 yards per punt (Kent, Miami, Eastern Michigan, Marshall, and Ohio)...had a long kick of 62 against Marshall...had eight punts of more than 50 yards...nearly 20% (12) of his kicks dropped inside the 20...named special teams MVP against Ohio…made three total tackles (2 solo) on the season. (1999) Punted in all 11 games as a freshman for the Falcons...had 54 punts on the year, averaging 40.3 yards...had two punts of 68 yards, against Pittsburgh and Central Michigan...had 10 punts downed inside the 20...a season highlight came against Toledo, when he pinned the Rockets on the one-yard line. (1998) Red-shirted as a true freshman.

Personal

Born June 30th, 1979 in Ottawa, Ontario…son of Samuel and Carol Fleming…attended Earl of March High School…played for coach Ted Davis...helped his team to the provincial championship in 1997...had three interceptions and 68 tackles in seven games that season...also averaged 40.2 yards punting…was a pre-exercise specialist major at Bowling Green with a 3.17 grade-point average.
