Pat Donovan (Patrick Emery Donovan) was born on July 1, 1953 in Helena, Montana. After going to high school at Helena (MT), Donovan attended Stanford University. Donovan made his professional debut in the NFL in 1975 with the Dallas Cowboys. He played for the Dallas Cowboys for his entire 9 year career.

Most people believe that 1975 was Pat Donovan's best year.
