Born on February 12, 1942 in Buffalo, New York, Pat Dobson (Patrick Edward Dobson) played for the Detroit Tigers, San Diego Padres, Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 11 year career. Dobson broke into the bigs on May 31, 1967 with the Detroit Tigers, and put up a 2.66 ERA in 125 innings pitched in 1968, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Pat Dobson's best season was 1971, when he posted a 2.90 ERA, won 20 games and struck out 187 batters.
