Born on October 29, 1966 in Newport, Rhode Island, Pat Combs (Patrick Dennis Combs) played for the Philadelphia Phillies for his entire 4 year career. Combs broke into the bigs on September 5, 1989 with the Philadelphia Phillies, and put up a 4.07 ERA in 183.1 innings pitched in 1990, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Pat Combs's best season was 1990, when he posted a 4.07 ERA, won 10 games and struck out 108 batters.
