Pat Batten

Pat Batten (Patrick Ward Batten) was born on December 5, 1941 in Indianola, Iowa. After going to high school at Edora (IA), Batten attended Drake University. After his freshman year at Drake, he next went to Fort Scott (Kan.) Juco where he earned Junior College All-America honors. His college career ended at Hardin-Simmons University as a member of the "Buffalo Brigade," so named for the weight of the linemen. Batten made his professional debut in the NFL in 1964 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 1 year career.
