Acquired:
Signed as a free agent by the Tiger-Cats February 23, 2006.
2006:
Returned to the Tiger-Cats and played four games before suffering a season-ending knee injury
2005:
The Tiger-Cats traded Cheron to the Ottawa Renegades on February 19th in exchange for their second round draft choice in the 2005 CFL Canadian College Draft and a conditional draft choice in the 2006 CFL Canadian Canadian Draft…started all 18 games on the offensive line during his first season in the Nation’s Capital…made a career high six defensive tackles.
2004:
The fifth year Tiger-Cat played in all 18 games during the regular season with one start...started at left guard in place of the injured Tim Bakker in the Tiger-Cats 24-19 rain drenched victory in Ottawa on October 30th...made two defensive tackles during the regular season...played in Hamilton's 24-6 East Semi-Final loss in Toronto.
2003:
The veteran offensive lineman started all 18 games at left guard during the regular season for Hamilton after re-signing with the Tiger-Cats on March 3rd.
2002:
Started 17 games played during the regular season at left guard…missed the Tiger-Cats 34-33 loss to Edmonton on September 29th due to injury…made two defensive tackles.
2001:
Played in 10 games, making two starts at left guard during the regular season…made his first CFL and professional start in the Tiger-Cats 63-31 loss in Winnipeg on September 8th…made one defensive tackle.
2000:
Suited up as a back-up offensive lineman in 14 games during his rookie season…also played in the Tiger Cats 22-20 Eastern Semi-Final loss to Winnipeg.
1999:
Selected by the Tiger-Cats in the sixth round (45th overall) of the 1999 CFL Canadian College Draft...attended training camp before returning for his final year of eligibility at Laval.
College:
Played five seasons (1995-99) with the De L’Universite’ Laval…won a Vanier Cup in 1999 as a result of Laval’s 14-10 victory over the St. Mary’s Huskies in the championship game…was a two time CIS All-Canadian and OQIFC All-Star…helped Laval reach the playoffs for the first time in their three year history in 1998…was chosen Laval’s lineman of the year in 1997.
Personal:
Born June 22nd, 1974 in Ste. Foy, Quebec…was the vice-president of the students association at Laval in 1997 and 1998…majored in physical education.
