Parenting 101: Mr. Urlacher

He is the face of the Chicago Bears, but he isn't the face of his family. A Joliet judge has order Chicago Bears Pro-Bowl Linebacker Brian Urlacher and the mother of his toddler to take a three hour parenting class.

Urlacher and his ex-girlfriend, Tyna Robertson are in a legal battle over Urlacher's parental visits with his 2-year-old son, Kennedy.

Urlacher's attorney believes that Robertson is responsible for causing Urlacher to miss four overnight visits with his son.

Robertson't attorney's said Urlacher just wants to have his son driven to him whenever it is convenient for him.

Robertson told the associated press, "I'm glad she ordered parenting classes because Brian needs it. Based on his actions, he's not a good role model, and I pray that he changes."

The Urlacher saga is another sad situation of the selfishness of pro athletes. Here we have a star linebacker who plants his seed around and a child of his is born. This child will never be raised by two parents under one household. Mr. Urlacher simply put his wants first and neglected the needs of his child, which is clearly the essence of parenting.

Custody battles are extremely ugly situations. And I think you are being overly critical on a highly personal matter to which you have absolutely no inside information to even pass judgement upon. And FYI - this Robertson woman also once falsely accused that "Lord of the Dance" dude of rape.

Another distraction for da Bears to deal with. I've seen what they can do to a team. This is not going to be a good year for the monsters of the midway.

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. How the f*ck do you think that Urlacher's personal life is goint to affect the Bears team? Don't all players personal lives and issues? You've seen what they can do to a team? I don't even know what that's supposed to mean. Idiot. Dumbass.

Beast...wtf...are you shitting me?

Are you insinuating that people who grow up in single parent homes are lesser in some way. Seriously, you're ridiculously jaded

On top of that, you think all athletes are the same...how many god damn athletes do you think are good parents and how many senior execs spend less time with their kids and more with their admins?

Ever think there is two sides to this story and not just the one told by his ex-girlfriend

Seriously dude...get a life...
