Palmer Pyle (William Palmer Pyle) was born on June 6, 1937 in Keokuk, Iowa. After going to high school at New Trier (Winnetka, IL), Pyle attended Michigan State University. Pyle made his professional debut in the NFL in 1960 with the Baltimore Colts. He played in the NFL for 5 years, playing for the Baltimore Colts and Minnesota Vikings over the course of his 5 year NFL career.Pyle also played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the Oakland Raiders the entire time.
