Pakistan Coach Found Dead at the Cricket World Cup

4
Vote

On Sunday morning, Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer was found dead in his hotel room, just hours after his side suffered a humiliating loss to Ireland in the Cricket World Cup - which eliminated them from the competition.

Woolmer was one of the most respected coaches, and was respected by both players and fans alike.

It is not yet known whether he died of natural causes, a stress related heart-attack has been suggested, or was murdered, a rumour that has filled the media.

Woolmer was 58, and will be sadly missed. Pakistan beat Zimbabwe in their final group match, and dedicated their win to him.

Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq announced his retirement from One Day Cricket immediately after the incident.

This has to be one of the strangest stories I have ever heard, especially because there is a legit chance of foul play.
