The California managerial swap continued this week as the San Diego Padres hired Bud Black as their new manager.
The Padres recently lost their manager to the San Francisco Giants and Black comes to San Diego from the Los Angeles Angels.
Black, 49, served as the Angels' pitching coach for seven seasons, including when they won the World Series in 2002. He was a big league pitcher for 15 seasons, helping the Kansas City Royals win the 1985 World Series.
