Paddy Driscoll (John Leo Driscoll) was born on January 11, 1895 in Evanston, Illinois. After going to high school at Evanston (IL), Driscoll attended Northwestern University. Driscoll made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Decatur Staleys. He played in the APFA for 2 years, playing for the Chicago Cardinals and Decatur Staleys over the course of his 2 year APFA career.Driscoll also played in the NFL for 8 years, playing for the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cardinals over the course of his 8 year NFL career.

Most people believe that 1926 was Paddy Driscoll's best year, as he ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
