On Monday, Packer Tight End Donald Lee signed a four year contract extension worth $11.88 million. This season, Lee has 29 receptions for 432 yards. More importantly, he provides some consistency from the position with a 78% catch percentage. Lee came over from the Miami Dolphins in 2005.
Rookie Aaron Rouse gets an opportunity to prove his worth at Free Safety as he will start for the injured Nick Collins Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. Rouse is a big-hit, big-play safety from Virgina Tech. The converted linebacker is 6’4” and is listed at 223 lbs. Green Bay took Rouse 89th overall with a pick from the NY Jets.
Collins was diagnosed with a strained ligament in his left knee. He will need to miss at least a couple of weeks to rest it.
