As a for as long as I could say it Penn State fan I have mixed emotions.

Part of me thinks Joe Pa has earned the right to stay as long as he want to.

Another part of me thinks it's time to move on.Mt cousin played on Penn States

National championship team in "86" > If he ever heard me say Joe should go he'd squash

me like a bug.To this day I believe his players love him and play hard for him.So, What's

the problem?? Could it be the play calling? or Recruiting"? I can't put my finger on it but

the truth is Penn State is on a down slide. In the past 10 years they've finished the season

in the the top 10 once, 10 years prior to that 5 times, 10 years prior to that 7 times.I hate to see

the once proud Lions become a second class citizen in the world of college football.Anybody out

there have any thoughts?

I completely agree. I hate to even think that Paterno must go but the team has been dismal recently, especially from 2003-2004. I think they overachieved in 2005 with a 12-1 mark, Big Ten Champs, an Orange Bowl victory (which I was at!), and finished #3. They vastly underperformed in 2006 and now again this year. Those teams had enough talent to go 9-3 in 2006 sans Bowl Game and 10-2 this year. I think the play calling carousel must go on offense. Galen Hall was brought in for a reason. Let him make the decisions. McQueary, JoePa, and JayPa should stay out of it. And Bradley needs to play more man-to-man on D. This soft zone drives me crazy! Plus Justin King and Anthony Scirrotto had terrible years. Hopefully they come back in 2008 and play up to their potential.
