Ozzie Clay (Oswald Clay) was born on September 10, 1941 in Hickory, North Carolina. After going to high school at Ridgeview (Hickory, NC), Clay attended Iowa State University. Clay made his professional debut in the NFL in 1964 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins for his entire 1 year career.
