Owen Nolan Will Be Missed

And the Calgary Flames are lucky to have him.

There are two Unrestricted Free Agents on the Phoenix Coyotes that I did not want to see leave the valley and one of them was Owen Nolan.

Nolan almost became a Calgary Flame at the trade deadline, but then General Manager Michael Barnett spoke to Nolan about any future trade. The reasons for him staying put were known to Coyotes fans who watch the local broadcasts. Now, Canada knows too.

Owen Nolan has more hockey left in him. After shaking off the rust at the beginning of the season last year, he found his scoring touch, and showed his toughness.

Hopefully, he can show the Flames what he showed us.

I saw the title of this article and I thought he was dead... He is what? 58 years old now? Seriously I live in Phoenix and had NO IDEA he was a Yote!@!!

He started off with a lot of rust, which is understandable based on his knee surgery and lockout, but when he got his timing back, he was a solid player. Not much has been said locally of the signing of Nolan by the Flames, which I don't really understand...
