While I was browsing on the world wide web (ie: porn) I stumbled across the latest edition of ESPN.com's NFL Coach Raitings. Curious to see how low Marvin Lewis was (a league low 12% approval...George Bush would even scoff at that) I noticed something crazy at the top. The New England Patriots' Bill Belicheat is NOT #1. Keep in mind, the Patriots are 6-0, they have beaten every team by at least 21 points, and they have only trailed once all season. However, the Patriot "fans" have given Bill an 82% approval ratings. What...the...F*CK??? Don't get me wrong, I fucking hate the Patriots, but an 82%? What do you "fans" expect from the Patriots? Are you pissed that they didn't score 100 points in a game? The team is already classless by running up the score week in and week out (see the Cleveland game) and you all are complaining? I find this pathetic.
(HOWEVAAAA), I also noticed who was in first place. Mike Tomlin of the Sh1tsburgh Stealers. Sh1tsburgh is a solid 4-1 and playing great football. Mike currently has an 84% approval rating. I thought it might be a little more so I looked to see who they played last week. I realized that they were on their bye week and yet, Tomlin went DOWN a point! That's right folks, he was an 85% LAST week after a win vs. Seattle. How do you go down a point when you don't even play? "Tomlin, you suck! I was so pissed that you didn't have them practice on their off day! You truly are terrible...I am voting a "No" for you, good sir!"
Curious, I looked at another team whose coach should have a high approval rating. Tony Dungy of the undefeated Indianapolis Colts currently sits in 3rd place with an 81% approval rating. The Colts had a bye week this past weekend, so like Shitburgh, Dungy probably went down a point right? NO! Dungy went UP 8 points! In your face Tomlin!!!
So, what did we learn here? 1.) Patriot fans are and always will be douchebags, 2.) Mike Tomlin is a terrible coach during the bye week, and 3.) If Tony Dungy had a bye week every week, then he would currently have a 140% approval rating.
You ROCK ESPN.com!!!
