[edit] BiographyAcquired: Signed as a free agent 2004. 2006: A dominating force throughout all 18 regular season games in 2006 as well as the West Championship and Grey Cup. Floyd recorded a career-highs in defensive tackles with 60 (3rd), as well as sacks with eight (3rd). The third-year Lion also forced two fumbles, knocked down one pass and notched 13 special teams tackles earning Player of the Week honours twice and the Defensive Player of the Month nod for September. Floyd was also named a West Division All-Star for the second time in as many seasons and also picked up his first All-Canadian selection. 2005: Started all 18 games for the Lions at outside linebacker recording 46 defensive tackles along with another 16 on special teams. Received his first West All-Star selection and ranked second on the team with 3 forced fumbles. 2003: Recorded three forced fumbles and 3 sacks for the in 15 games in his final season in Calgary. Notable: After starting his CFL career in Edmonton, Floyd has developed into one of the CFL’s premier defenders over the past three seasons. Entering his fourth season as a Lion, Floyd hit the 90-games played and 200-tackle marks in 2006 and comes off a career-season statistically. Last season’s Grey Cup victory was Floyd’s second championship as a pro. College: Floyd played five seasons for the Cardinals and was a tremendous college athlete, starting in three different positions during the 1998 season. Personal: Floyd is considered one of the best-dressed Lions, and likes to have 'outfit' shirts to match his pants. Growing up, Walter Payton was his favourite athlete and his father, Otis Sr., his role model. Floyd enjoys fried chicken, is a good 10-pin bowler (once scoring 180), and he enjoys listening to Tupac.
