Ossie Alvarez (Oswaldo (Gonzalez) Alvarez) was born on October 19, 1933 in Bolondron, Cuba. He made his Major League debut on April 19, 1958 for the Washington Senators. In 1958, his rookie year, he hit .209 with 0 home runs and 5 RBI. Alvarez played for the Washington Senators for his entire 1 year career.
