Orestes Destrade (Orestes (Cucuas) Destrade) was born on May 8, 1962 in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba. He made his Major League debut on September 11, 1987 for the New York Yankees. In 1993, his rookie year, he hit .255 with 20 home runs and 87 RBI. Destrade played for the New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates and Florida Marlins over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that Orestes Destrade's best season was 1993, when he slugged 20 home runs and knocked in 87 runs.
