the Colts are screwed today. The referee has called 5 Defensive Pass interference penalties all year, and I'm sure the Pats will take advantage. Rodney Harrison is out for tonights game.

I cant wait to see if the crowd can help the Colts. By that I mean the Pats will try to rough up the Colt WR's but if the crowd can bgitch enough they can help force a few flags to fly despite a stingy reffinf staff

FP, I don't know if I have ever seen a bigger sore loser than yourself. It wasn't a classic game, but would have been had your team won? You are a prime example of why the Patriots are (or should I say "were") the new Yankees and everyone hates their fans. Considering the circumstances surrounding the game, Peyton Manning against his greatest nemesis and trying to get to the Super Bowl after years of futility, this one has to go near the top of the list. Just like this year's Fiesta Bowl can't be considered the greatest college game of all time because it didn't mean squat, you have to elevate this one quite a bit because of all the implications. Despite what Patriot fans would like you to believe.

Enough with the excuses. The Pats lost. Get over it. There were no hard field goals for Vinateri. Even Vanderjack probably makes those with ease. The game was won because Peyton put together drives when they needed them. Most teams would have given up when they were down 21-3. Manning didn't, and he is the primary reason the Colts won. As much as you hate him, you have to get over it and admit he is good and he finally beat your team.

Jets have lot of money to spend and you can bet that those two will do everything possible to pry the Patriots players away. Jets draft was great this year and it's going to get better with more picks. Pennington will be better. Mangini got so much out of so little this year. Wait till he has a very good team. This is not the Herm Edwards's Jets anymore where they are expected to lose. This is not the Same Old Jets. Jets have everything going IMO.

My apologies, you referenced a Jets message board on another thread, and constantly praise Mangini/put down Belichick, so I just assumed... I agree with you that Mangini and Tannenbaum are shrewd executives. However, based on points scored/allowed, net yardage, and even these guys' metrics, the Jets were morally an 8-win team this past year, not a 10-win one. I really don't see Pennington getting any better (2006 was one of those "best case scenario"-type years). Maybe the offense can improve by making Barlow go away forever (seriously, banish that guy from pro football, please), but even then they'd only be slightly better than average. Meanwhile, the defense is broken, particularly against the run. The point is that they've got a lot of holes -- probably too many to patch before next season. Miami's just a mess (maybe they'd be better if they didn't insist on playing Harrington at QB, just a thought), and Buffalo doesn't seem to have much breakout potential, either. Plus, Belichick is just as shrewd as the Jets' brain trust (as you may have heard)... So saying that "the Pats' monopoly on winning the AFC East is over" may be a bit of an overreaction to their loss today, don't you think?

I am not getting carried away about the Jets, Davis. I really think things are going to better. Jets will address this issues. They got lot of money from the cap and from their new network, Sportsnet New York. I hope you enjoyed watching Asante Samuel for the last time in a Patriots uniform. He was awesome last night and you can bet Mangini will do everything possible to get him. Mangini is the type of coach who can turn dirt into gold.

Sammuel will return, Graham won't. They have a decent TE to replace Graham, but not a good CB to replace sammuel. No way the Jets land him. Sammuel is probably going for 8-14 Million/year, and the only reason the Pats will try and bring him back for that is because DB's are hard to find

I dunno, the Celtics are doing pretty good right now in the Oden-Durant sweepstakes. I'm looking forward to seeing them do what they do best so we can draft a future.

What a beautiful ending.

I am so happy for Peyton and Tony Dungy.

I had tears in my eyes after the game.

One of the best endings I ever watched in sports.

Boston is a filthy town and I'm glad to see anything Boston lose. The only thing that would have made it better was if the entire Kennedy family was there to watch it.

Dungy looks like a Deer in headlights on the sideline. Let's hope the Bears win the Super Bowl. The Colts did their job and knocked off the patriots, now their dead to me.

I'm glad the Colts won, not a big fan of the Pats (even though I know they are a great team). It really was an exciting game, think the Bears will win the Super Bowl. Manning will get hit early and often, expect many turnovers. How bout Reggie Bush showing off on his only touchdown? What a complete dope, makes me laugh how players want to dance and show off more than play the friggin game!!
