Onix Concepcion (Onix Cardona (Cardona) Concepcion) was born on October 5, 1957 in Dorado, Puerto Rico. He made his Major League debut on August 30, 1980 for the Kansas City Royals. In 1982, his rookie year, he hit .234 with 0 home runs and 15 RBI. Concepcion played for the Kansas City Royals for his entire 6 year career.

Most people believe that Onix Concepcion's best season was 1984, when he hit for a .282 average.
