Born on March 1, 1972 in Maracaibo, Zulia (Venezuela), Omar Daal (Omar Jesus (Cordero) Daal) played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Montreal Expos, Toronto Blue Jays, Arizona Diamondbacks, Philadelphia Phillies and Baltimore Orioles over the course of his 11 year career. Daal broke into the bigs on April 23, 1993 with the Los Angeles Dodgers, and put up a 4.02 ERA in 87.1 innings pitched in 1996, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Omar Daal's best season was 1999, when he posted a 3.65 ERA, won 16 games and struck out 148 batters.
