Ollie Pickering (Oliver Daniel Pickering) was born on April 9, 1870 in Olney, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on August 9, 1896 for the Louisville Colonels. In 1896, his rookie year, he hit .303 with 1 home run and 22 RBI. Pickering played for the Louisville Colonels, Cleveland Spiders, Cleveland Blues, Cleveland Broncos, Philadelphia Athletics, St. Louis Browns and Washington Senators over the course of his 8 year career.

Most people believe that Ollie Pickering's best season was 1901, when he stole 36 bases and hit for a .309 average.
