Ohio State-Michigan….Playboy Mansion or High School Prom?

Well, I would just like to say thank you to everybody for showing their patience, but finally we’ve arrived. Somehow this feels like one of those ridiculous hot air balloon journeys around the world that’s coming to an end…Although how will it come to an end? With a crash landing, which leaves a lasting impression in the earth or will it hit its mark as smooth as a baby’s ass? It’s all depends on who you’re rooting for this weekend. Yes, the Michigan-Ohio State week is finally here…Thank God, it’s not like we haven’t been hearing about this damn thing since mid-September…Kudos to ESPN for that & for your little gay ass countdown clock!

So, who will have that crash landing & who will put that balloon down in The Horseshoe and dot the 50-yard line as smooth as a baby’s ass…That depends on who you’re rooting for. See for me, well, I can give a rat’s ass! I’ll be watching Notre Dame-Army on Saturday…Now there’s your “Game of the Century”! All I care about is how far the loser drops in the BCS! Although I do recognize how big this game is…I think a blind person could see all the ramifications this matchup brings! The storylines leading up to Saturday 3:30 time are endless…The media coverage will rival that of a Super Bowl and we all know how sickening that can be to listen to them talk about nothing for two weeks! So, what happens when this game is over around the 7 o’clock hour? Well, one team punches their ticket to Glendale…And the another one does their best impression of John L Smith…Punching themselves in the head. Then guess what, all this same hype can go out to Los Angeles and be recreated a week later between USC-Notre Dame.

Since college football doesn’t have a playoff, these next few weeks are the closest we, as fans, are going to get to one, so enjoy it! However, let’s not quickly dismiss the first two weeks of this month either. Remember Louisville-West Virginia, followed up by Louisville-Rutgers? Okay, not really house hold names there, but those two games could’ve been tagged “Game of the Century”…Now I wouldn’t, but some hillbilly living in West Virginia may. So, now it’s the same with the OSU-UM game. Quite honestly they’ll have a very difficult time surpasses what we saw last Thursday night in Piscataway, New Jersey! Surprisingly, that will most likely be the best college football game we see this season…One game that did live up to it’s billing! And yes, it was given to us by compliments of the Rutgers Scarlet Knights and the Big East Conference. I think that odd combination right there out does the Jessica Simpson-Tony Romo one.

In the landscape of college football several games throughout the course of the year receive all sorts of hype. The problem being only a handful or less actually live up to their advertisement. For a game that we’ve been hearing about and waiting for two months now, which is finally upon us, what will it bring? Will it be like a night at the Playboy Mansion…Full of anticipation that meets and succeeds all expectations or will it be like going to prom and not getting laid? Fun, good times were had, but it wasn’t raining outside, so there was no need for the raincoat. I wonder what the wheather forecast is calling for in C-Bus on Saturday? Rain?

Besides being Michigan-Ohio State or Ohio State-Michigan, (whichever you sick people out there refer to it) it’s #1 vs. #2. Although there’s a bad rumor out there that has been circulating for the past few weeks, (almost like a ghastly 20 beers & 100 chicken wings fart which is ripped in an airplane bathroom when someone wants to enter the mile high club) which has these same two teams in a rematch out in Glendale. To that, I say, BURGERFLICKLE! Odds of that happening has diminished due to the latest BCS Rankings…Although, everybody knows to never count on a computer for anything, so that remains to be seen. If that happens, then this game on Saturday resembles that of a Harvard-Yale matchup…Who cares! All this lead up to Saturday and those 3-plus on the field doesn’t matter if we’re going to see round two in Glendale!

Now I don’t know who’s going to win on Saturday besides Notre Dame beating Army. Although I do know this is a special year in college football. Over these last few weeks of the season we, as fans, get to see the top eight teams in the BCS square-off against each other. This is as close to a playoff without actually having one which kickoffs at 3:30 EST Saturday in Columbus. So one team will punch their ticket to Glendale on Saturday, but who will that be…And who will be their opponent? To Be Continued…..
