Today, Berkshire Hathaway releases its second Q earnings. You can find the results at www.berkshirehathaway.com. More importantly, you will also find a link to the annual shareholder letter. These letters date back to 1977 and all of them have been written by Warren Buffett. Yes, the second richest man in the entire world.

In addition, the mass media can't get simple facts straights about business news, let alone provide any understanding to the business world. Hence, you get the boom and busts (stock market, now housing, etc.) and see people cry over getting taken to the cleaners - when they did it to themselves for not knowing the basics.
Buffett, however, does lay a common sense approach to investing. You may or may not think it is worthy to follow in your own life, but at least, you will have the knowledge about it. Knowledge is key in this world, even if the culture downplays this fact drastically.
So if you folks have some free time, read the Shareholder letters! The information within will help you out in the future.
