Born on January 13, 1953 in Tulare, California, Odell Jones (Odell Jones) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, Baltimore Orioles and Milwaukee Brewers over the course of his 9 year career. Jones broke into the bigs on September 11, 1975 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 5.08 ERA in 108 innings pitched in 1977, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Odell Jones's best season was 1983, when he posted a 3.09 ERA, notched 10 saves and struck out 50 batters.
