After their 27-23 win over the Arizona Cardinals, the Oakland Raiders have already been a successful team. Today, I'll show you the reasons why they are already a winner.
- They learned that the objective of football is to score more points than the other team. It only took them one preseason game to do it. They may not win another game the rest of the way, but it's a confidence builder for next year.
- The Raiders found the end zone. Not once, not twice, but 3 times! That's more than all of last year (of course not).
- Daunte Culpepper didn't get injured. That's about it for him. Culpepper finished a woeful 5-12 for 78 yards, and fumbled the ball twice, including one right near his own goal line. They signed him why? JaMarcus Russell, sign the contract so they can release him.
- Running game was borderline competent. They rushed for 120 yards, which is also more than all of last year (not really).
So as you can see, this article was a joke. But, the important thing is, that we know the positives that came out of the Raiders preseason opener.
