LSU -18 (buy the point to -17) 1 UNIT BET
For the first bet of the year we decided to go with one of our all-time favorites. On paper it seems LSU lost a lot (and yo, they kinda did), but this program exemplifies the phrase "we reload not rebuild." Matt Flynn replaces Jamarus Russell at QB and although that may seem like a sharp dropoff, we see Flynn taking the baton and running with it. Hell, I could run this offense and we'd win 10 games...aight, maybe 9. Anyway, the defense will be it's normal suffocating self and oh yeah, Mississippi State is freaking awful. They went 3-9 last year, are starting a QB with no experience besides the first game last year when he broke his collarbone and a porous and inexperienced offensive line that LSU's D line will cut through like Moses through the red sea. If I were the parents of Miss. State's QB I would be seriously concerned for his health right now. Christ, I'm scared for him and I don't even know him.
For those "numbers betters" here's a good stat for you. The last two years LSU has beaten Miss. State by 31 and 30 points respectively. Two words: EASY COVER
We bought the point to get the spread at -17 cause that's what it's there for, never liked the number 18. Either way LSU should win by 3 touchdowns no problem. A good start for a very profitable season.
