The Baltimore Orioles broke their 5 game losing streak with a 7-6 win against the Detroit Tigers. Daniel Cabrera reverted to early season form by going 5 innings, walking 7, striking out 6, and giving up 5 earned runs. The O's bats bailed out Cabrera. Miguel Tejada, Jeff Conine, Melvin Mora, and Jay Gibbons all homered. Magglio Ordonez hit his 10th of the season for the Tigers. Carlos Gullien drove in 3 runs, but had 2 errors.
Detroit starter Nate Robertson did not have the success most lefties have had against Baltimore so far this season, giving up 6 hits, 4 runs, 2 earned, 5 walks, and 1 strike out. Baltimore's bullpen sealed the deal, with Chris Ray getting his 8th save in his 8th chance.
