- 1991 - Just six months after guiding the Pittsburgh Penguins to their first Stanley Cup Championship, Coach Bob Johnson dies at the age of 60 from Brain Cancer. Affectionately known as "Badger Bob" after leading Wisconsin to three NCAA titles, his favorite quote was "It's a great day for hockey."
